"Nalu" is a Wall Wave from Hawaii

This Wall Wave is made of bent bronze rod patinated with Hawaiian ocean water fastened to a wooden background covered by a traditional Hawaiian weaving material, lau hala. Lau means leaf, hala is the Pandanus or Screwpine that has long leaves particularly good for weaving mats, hats, backgrounds for waves:

Wave. 65K

"Nalu" is Hawaiian for "wave".

"Nalu" is twenty four by eighteen inches by three quarters of an inch thick. The right frame and matte would enhance it and it is ready for such framing, if that is your desire. However, it also has a hanging wire mounted on the back for display as is, and this might be your preference. .

The back has been signed, "HOWARD".
