Flexible Gold Bracelet with Five Jade Cabochons

This old hand made custom bracelet has five perfectly matched jadeite cabochons, each ten and a half by eight millimeters. The piece is not marked at all, but the metal tests as gold. The bracelet is big, seven inches long; total weight is .55 troy ounces:

Each of the stones is set into a custom made hinge, so this portion of the bracelet is very flexible, even though it appears at a glance as solid.

The inside of the band looks like a fine mesh of gold. The outside has been treated so that the mesh somehow disappears. Instead, there is a shimmering pattern of curves etched into the gold.
