Imperial Color Green Carved Jade Pendant Bound in 18K Gold

Arley bought this piece of jade in 1976 for her collection, and a few years later made it a gold setting so it can be worn on a chain:

The very deep green color of this Burmese jade seems to glow.The carving is very deep, penetrating through to the back in places. Arley's gold backing is designed to miss all of these places, and yet completely protect and enhance the fragile carving.

This Jade Pendant is one and a half inches high and one inch wide. It is marked 18K. The total weight of gold and jade is 1.65 troy ounces.
