THEHOWARDCOLLECTION

This knotted silk strand of natural pink color freshwater pearls from Lake Biwa in Japan is sixteen inches and a half inches long. The glowing pearls are irregular, from five to eight millimeters. The clasp connects within a large gold scallop shell, which can be worn either at the back of the neck or in front as a neat pendant. The shell is marked 14K.
Back in the Seventies, Arley made ten different necklaces using sea shells and these particular pearls. The other nine were all sold long ago, but she saved this one for occasional wear. It is in excellent condition.
