This pin is a highly stylized four lobed clover (many of the poor things only have three lobes). The skillful finish catches light to enhance the diamond, and the back is well made, too, completely shielding the wearer from the point. No sharp point sticking out anywhere is wonderful in a pin, but it is designed so you can put a chain or other necklace through the closed back and the piece will hang securely and at an attractive angle, looking as good as a pendant as it does as a pin.
The brilliant diamond is 3.2 mm in diameter. The piece is an inch across. It is marked on the back "14K", plus a hallmark. It weighs .24 troy ounces.
